Tiffany Best was raised in Oxford, MI, where she now resides with her husband, daughter and stepson. 

She is the owner/operator of EarthyGirl-Design for Life, Inside & Out.  EarthyGirl is a garden and design based business offering landscape design, maintenance, seasonal containers, salvaged/original artwork, and freelance design to the Metro-Detroit area. 

Tiffany's ultimate goal is to own a retail outlet — selling salvaged goods as well as original art, music, and product lines exclusively made by Michigan artisans.

Tiffany describes her background as follows: 

Thanks to my creative mother and “fix-it” father, my childhood was filled with paint, glue, thread and needle.  I have grown to appreciate local artists and desire to be a respected creator among my peers.  My husband, a licensed builder by trade, encourages, inspires and pushes me to think ‘outside of the box’ more than anyone else I’ve ever met and is pivotal in making my zany visions become a reality. 

Presently we are remodeling/ restoring our home from top to bottom (green roof to hardwood floors), and while tearing up the old kitchen linoleum, we discovered piles of preserved newspapers printed in 1963.  I collected the papers, and they became my muse for this collection I have titled “Retro Reflections.” 

Retro Reflections is an acrylic and decorative sand on canvas collection that focuses on classic Americana through iconic products and fashion of that time.  

Nature, American history, still-life, the woman’s figure, bold palates, and dreams, are all examples of elements that influence my paintings.  When I am not painting or gardening, you can find me sewing, restoring furniture, playing piano, shopping at Salvation Army, or scouring flea markets for my next project.
